When is the best time to schedule my maternity session?
The ideal time is usually between 27 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. At this stage, your baby bump is beautifully visible, and you still feel comfortable moving and posing.
Can I take maternity photos earlier or later than that?
Yes, photos can be taken at any stage of pregnancy. Some women prefer multiple sessions to document the belly’s growth over time.
What if I feel awkward or not photogenic?
It’s natural to feel that way. This is usually the first question most pregnant women ask when they come to me wanting a beautiful keepsake from such a special time. The pregnant body changes so quickly, and we don’t always feel our best. I completely understand this feeling, and throughout the entire session, I guide and direct you down to the smallest details, doing my best to make you smile and feel comfortable. The poses and angles are flattering so that everyone receives an artistic keepsake to look back on with joy for years to come.
What should I wear for maternity photos?
The wardrobe you choose depends greatly on the photography style you prefer—whether it’s classic, lifestyle, outdoor, or pool sessions. At my studio, I offer a curated selection of clothing, fabrics, and accessories designed to complement most pregnant women. These include dresses, jackets, fabrics, bodysuits, and more. While the studio collection is versatile and thoughtfully chosen, I understand that every woman has her unique style and preferences. You're warmly invited to bring your own favorite outfits that make you feel beautiful and comfortable. Once the photography style is selected, I will personally guide and advise you on the best wardrobe choices to ensure stunning and flattering results.
Is makeup recommended for maternity photos?
Based on many years of experience, I truly recommend arriving for your session with your makeup and hair done exactly the way you love it—even including nails, especially if we will be taking close-up shots that feature your hands. I’ve found that when clients work with a makeup artist or hairstylist for the first time on the day of the shoot, they sometimes don’t feel completely satisfied with the look. Many clients prefer to either do their own makeup or work with professionals they trust and know well. This approach helps you feel confident and comfortable, allowing me to focus fully on capturing your true beauty and the special moments of your session. I’m always happy to recommend talented makeup artists and hairstylists if you’d like.
What to expect on your photo day?
On your big day, I create a calm, joyful environment where you can relax and be yourself. I guide you step-by-step to capture those natural, beautiful moments that showcase the magic of this special time in your life.
How soon will I receive the photos?
You can expect to receive the photos for selection within about 7 days after the shoot. After you choose your favorites, the edited final images will be delivered within up to 2 weeks.
